Guest spinthepilot
Greeting all, Just became the proud owner of a TT GZ Aerotop ( Import ) - luverly EXCEPT the rear left roof bolt is missing, and it rattles like hell! My local Toyota dealer has really tried, but using my chassis number on his EPC gets a drawing bearing no relation to what I have got, and certainly nothing that even resembles my required bolt. Help! I have no idea of the correct part number, where to find that out, or finally where to get this darn bolt! Has anyone any ideas, has this happened to you? All the parts we have tried from the UK EPC are all wrong..... THANX in advance, the noise is driving me mad and I'm fed up with stuffing cardboard into the gap

supRo
Hi mate, welcome to the forum. Sorry I don't have the part number, hopefully someone comes along with it soon If it's the same as the right hand side bolt it may be worth taking it out and showing it to a nuts and bolts specialist? Where abouts in Bedfordshire are you? I'm from Luton and there's a nuts and bolts specialist in Luton. Good luck, Ro

markssupra
Great choice there mate. Not sure how the bolt has come out though.
Soop Dogg
think the part number you are after is 63297b Not sure about that. That part looks like the plastic blanking plug which you insert when the roof it out. Might be best to check the description on the EPC too. supra steveo
hey yeah might be a blanking screw, BTW great spec car hope you look after it. how much does a TT aerotop go for these days i might look into an upgrade now I've had a decent pay-rise
Guest spinthepilot
hey all, yeah what an excuse to get the roof off, sun....in England!!! Think we are winning, the bolt is not sold as a seperatew bit but a 'bracket assembly' that includes the bolt - nope they are NOT supposed to fall out, Lord knows where mine went, the previous owner didn't know either. Again, thanks for your help - so different to some 'other cars' forums! As for how much she's worth? No idea, but Jap Import ( grey ) 3.0L TT auto, 50K miles, M reg vgc, nice metallic midnight blue paint job, all the usual stuff and no mods ( yet ). I guess about £9.5??? but I'm sure to be corrected/educated! - Please!
