SimonP
I went to the Modified Nationals at Rockingham on Saturday to take part in the 0-60mph and 1/8 mile sprints. The Rockingham oval absolutely superb with great facilities for both racers and spectators. The sprints took place on the main start/finish straght. The surface was very grippy but the track sloped down from from right to left so the car wanted to move to the left on launch. I had 3 runs - my best 1/8 mile time was 8.199secs at 88mph and my best 0-60 mph was 3.96secs! Simon

SimonP
Awesome Simon sounds good. What have you done to your car to get that 0-60? The car is a J spec 6 speed model with stock turbo's, increased boost to 1.2 bar, high pressure fuel pump, stock 440cc injectors, Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust still retaining cat, FMIC, modified cams (256 in/264 ex), F CON SZ piggyback ECU, CentreForce Dual Friction clutch and BFG Drag Radials. Measured 378 bhp and 389 torque (at hubs) on Abbey Motorsports dyno. It has run a best of 11.82 secs @ 117mph on the quarter mile.

Supra Dino
i also sat and watch a few of these run's and not to try taking anything away from your car but some of the time's that the timer was putting up was shall we say interesting i think the bedford rascle that went down had a 0 - 60 in 12sec or something and it was painfully stock but good laugh. i think alot of the time's was out i would imo take the time with a pinch of the white stuff and have a run at santa pod. I can't find the time for a Bedford Rascal on the final results - the slowest car was an Escort 1.8 which ran 12.2 secs for 0-60 and 12.4 for the 1/8 mile - this would equate to around 18 secs for the 1/4 mile! I don't have doubts about my times - for the following reasons:- I had run at Shakespeare County Raceway the weekend before and I was running consistent 12.2 -12.4 for the 1/4 and 8.1 secs for the 1/8. Bear in mind that the 0-60 timing is done with a radar gun while the 1/8 mile timing is done by light beams - so there are 2 separate timing systems. I also use a G-Tech performance meter - this was telling me that the 0-60mph times were in the low 4/high 3 second range. Simon
