garetheves
Just got back from seeing them at the Shitty of Manchester Stadium. Not his biggest fan, went mainly because my girlfriend is a big fan, but ive got to say what a gig. They were quality. I know they have been doing it a while and you can expect a decent show but they were flawless. THe levels of all instruments and mics was spot on, his vocals throughout were superb. Awsome show. Only downside was the traffic trying to get out of manchester. Anyone else from here go??
Bobbeh
Didnt go, but how many people do they pack in there? A nice venue to play in is it not? Cant beat a good rock band to put on a show. Not the greatest Bon Jovi fan but I can guess it would be entertaining.
garetheves
Nickelback supported as well, who ive seen before, so it was a very good Rock show indeed. Not a bad venue, even if Man City do rent it from time to time. Must have been 40K plus in there tonight.

I dont listen to the radio so i hadnt heard of them until yesterday. The anouncer explained that they had won the competition and they got a good reception. The size of the event didnt get to them, full of confidence and really got the crowd going. Think they have a decent future ahead of them. Well next weekend its the Download festival for me and the following week it's Foo Fighters at Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Not a bad few weeks of gigs really. SkyJawa
I love Bon Jovi - my fav band - and I don't care admitting it! They gotta be good to have lasted over 20 years! Been to see them loads live and they are always brilliant, had tickets for Wembley and they fecked that up so I didn't want to go to MK instead, think the bowl is a pants venue Hope they do a DVD of the tour............ Gamer
Nickleback = Cool Jon bon Homo = errr no I bet you you there was a haze in the air from all the female hormones (and a few male) I have to admit to seeing old Jon bon way back in the late 80's in New Jersey at a small gig. Back when they were all hair and painted on jeans.

Mike
If you had to choose, who would it be Westlife or Nickleback don't make me make that choice...!! erm, well what I would say is at least Westlife do what they say on the tin... Nickleback pose as a 'rock' band and are probably a millions times more molded and produced than anything Lewie Walsh could come up with... I just think they're really bland and mediocre....they're like the David Gray of the American rock world...

Mike
LOL what would that be then ? Please tell me you are a female .... well... on the hypothetical 'Westlife tin' it says "get money from young teenage girls"... and that's exactly what they do.... so you can't really knock them for it.. it's a tried and tested formula and they don't pretend to be anything new.. they croon over other peoples songs for a living.. always have, always will.. Nickleback on the other hand... come on, you can't put them in the realms of proper music can you? they come with their watered down rock and expect your average punter to think 'I've never heard anything like that before?' and hand over their hard earned cash..?! surely you have to do better than that these days? Something tells me I'm not making too many friends here....
