green_dragon
This is unbelievable, I usually get Hayfever really bad, but I've been fine so far untill Saturday morning when I woke up coughing and sneezing. The thing is my wife feels the same, and she never gets Hayfever. We've been double dosing Lemsips and Strepsils thinking we've got the Flu or something:rolleyes:
Charlotte
Also another tip.... dont leave windows open in your bedroom! as no doubt pollen grains are gonna get blown into your room and onto your bed sheets and you'll breath the bastards in (giving you a sore throat) or rub them into your eyes by accident. I've just said exactly the same. But Mike insists on the windows being open.
how_supra
I've been like that since the beginning of May. I never used to suffer with it, until four years ago. I find I have to rotate the drugs I take on a weekly basis otherwise I get used to them. I don't understand why they insist on lining the motorway with oilseed rape, that's just an accident waiting to happen with me. If I crash my car due to induced sneezing due to those evil yellow flowers, do you think I can use that as my excuse?
SupraStar 3000
Its night whilst I'm asleep when I really get it bad. Wake up looking like slimer from ghostbusters I've tried most things with little improvment. If you don't mind looking like Hannibal Lector try a disposable dust mask with alittle olbas oil. REALLY helps me 1. Smoke 2. Mix meds 3. Take more than the stated dose 4. Take caffeine 5. drink plenty of alcohol 6. Eat ice cream 7. Olbas oil 8. Close windows 9. Stick things in arse 10. DIY dust mask

how_supra
Someone told me that if you rub vasaline under your eyes and under your nose it prevents the pollen from causing irratation. Don't know how true that is though.
markssupra
I dont look forward to summer at all, end of may I start the sneezing and itchy eyes, 32 years later its slowly getting less. I used to have Kenalog steroids and Telfast tablets but found I got used to them, the best one so far for me is Zirtek, although it doesnt clear it completely, its better than nothing. TreesSZ
try 'new era' from tescos. That really works for me. RAF pilots use it too if they have hayfever (they're not supposed to have hayfever if they are pilots)
