Guest lotus49
The 22B (which wins the prize for the most over-priced impreza ever) had about 290BHP and weighed about 1270kg, so it was quick, but not amazingly so. A standard Supra would be slightly more powerful, but a fair bit heavier as well so there's probably very little in it. My bet would be that the 22B is quicker off the line (4wd - it has to be) but lower top end. The 22B doesn't have a reputation for being the best handling Impreza either. It's too stiff unless you're on a track so again, I'd say there is very little in it. Perhaps it's slightly less lairy than a Supra, particularly in the wet, but I'd be surprised it your brother would be able to put much distance between you unless the road is very twisty. Tricky-Ricky
Aquamist all the way for water injection, depending on how you want to control it, there are several options, pressure activated or fully mappable.

grahamc
I was under the impression that the 22B had a lot more power than 290. The standard STis have 278BHP. From what I have seen/read the power figure claims for the 22B are closer to 320 - 330. Also could really depend on what version it is. The UK spec has a different gearing ratio to the JSpec. JSpec being closer, making it quicker off the line but with a lower topend. Under correction on this. I have seen a 22B racing in hill climb events in SA and this thing was untouchable. It ran on 3 cyclinders for the final 1/4 and still posted the best time of the day. G
