absz
checked timing on the car today and its at 22 degrees vs 10 which it should be? thats with e1/te1 connected together in serial port. idles seems fine 650/680 rpm the engine seems a bit flat in lower rev range. any ideas whats pulling the timing. STOCK ecu unit fitted with apexi f-manage to control 650cc injectors. hks 264/256 cams running t60-1 turbo
Chris Wilson
Altering perceived air flow figutres to the ecu moves the timing map too, so you see ignition changes. They don't tell you that... They wouldn't though, would they?
Kranz
Is there any cure for this CW? I'm guessing that the lower air flows that the f-manage is making the ecu see makes it advance the timing more to compensate for the lower percieved flows? Any simple way of altering the timing map or is an E-manage ultimate the way to go?
Chris Wilson
AEM, Motec blah blah, to do it right you need a standalone.

absz
right, checked supROs car using the same digital timing gun i have and its showing 22degrees on his car as well ? so either i have a dodgy gun or the pick up wire ( green wire on igniter pack ) is not a good reference point for No1 cylinder. CW after market ecu might be a possibilty in the furture when i can afford one:taped:
