my mate has a box at the derby today, i have never been before, but things have not gone to plan for me,i hate plans:( and i will not be going it was all exspenses paid even getting picked up, and i could have got my jacket de-cobwebbed, anyway have i missed out on much

Don't go if you've got something else to do. Horse racing is dull. I've been to a few events but never really had a great time. It's nice if you win some money but apart from that I would much rather go to a motorsport event or a footy match.

I'll agree with that, horse racing is so slow between races.

 

Dog racing is far more fun for the buck, although dogs are a lot more unpredictable if you're trying to win money.

 

Personally I'll allot an amount to spend on betting per race and stick to it. That way I come away having had a good time, and not lost the shirt off my back :D

 

I'll agree about the motorsport event, but I'm not really a football fan. I think I'd prefer to wash the car, in fact I think I'd prefer to wash somebody else's car :D
