Pig
Pull the ECU fuse and see if that help. Alternatively, keep the revs up enough for a while and see if that helps! Have you been using the car recently!
jazz1
no i have not been using the car recently but it would always start and stay at the revs, how do i reset the ecu or pull the plugs please?

Pig
Either pull the bottom 3 fuses in the engine bay or disconnect the batt for 1 min. That should sort it!

Pete
i took some pics but didnt pull anything could there be some fuses missing or should they be empty like shown in the pics? Don't worry it's normal, they're not all used. Same for the relay that's 'missing'
Nic
Have you had the battery disconnected? If you have the ECU will have been reset which would cause a lumpy idle or the engine to cut out. It will take a few miles drive for the ECU to relearn the settings, after this it should idle okay.
jazz1
started my car today and it was the battery i think and also iv let the car run for 1 hour and the revs have gone up and alot of water come out of the exhaust my brother says it could be the build up of water or the map sensor but the car doesnt cut of anymore because iv let it run for ages and reved it a few times
