Phoenix_TT
Hi My bro has a Pug 306, which has developed a petrol leak. Is there any 'stuff' that can temporarily stop this ? I've not seen the leak myself and I've been told is coming from directly underneath the tank, down the rear wheel arch. Interestingly I was also told that the leak only happen while at a angle, and not on a flat surface. Any help would be appreciated Cheers Geoff
SUPRALOOPY
get a box of matches and do him a favour..;-) It sounds like the filler neck leaking not the tank. There should be a rubber connector pipe from the filler tube to the tank, check the clips that hold it in place. hope this helps Dave
mr keef
A lot of french cars have a plastic sorta bung near the top of the tank, this leaks through time,it will leak when on an angle or if you fill right to the top,if indeed the 306 has a plastic tank then you can get it plastic welded over,or ya can do what i do with the gt turbos, and thats chemical metal a rubber bung in.Might be worth a check.
