Bobbeh
So fellow manual drivers.. are you going to enlighten me on how to launch my car (fat rubber (285's) and a stock clutch )
Matt Harwood
Floor the throttle, until it's bouncing off the rev limiter, then slip the clutch, but remember to let go before it starts smoking Seriously, I've found a launch at about 4.5-5k rpm and a slight slip of the clutch works best for me. Less RPM and the car bogs down a bit, more rpm or not enough slip, results in too wheelspin...
Bobbeh
I havent really practised launching at all, Santa pod last year was a complete waste of time as you know. I was thinking around 4-5k and slight slip then right off quick to get it picking up, I dont think the wheelspin will be anything like the Pod, due to harsh concrete and fatter tyres. Scooter
best thing about woodbridge starts are that they at pretty much at your own pace ie you have a few seconds to get settled and get the rev's to wherever you like before you have to go........no lights to mess with your head!
