i'm may be stupid but i am not blind !! i will be at this in some way, shape or form (whether taking part or not is uncertain as yet as a lot depends on when my stuff comes in) and even if i don't run, i shall be there to encourage my friends and help in any way i can ... and obviously to try and show the finger to the skyline boyz :innocent: :p

Floor the throttle, until it's bouncing off the rev limiter, then slip the clutch, but remember to let go before it starts smoking :p

 

Seriously, I've found a launch at about 4.5-5k rpm and a slight slip of the clutch works best for me. Less RPM and the car bogs down a bit, more rpm or not enough slip, results in too wheelspin...

I havent really practised launching at all, Santa pod last year was a complete waste of time as you know. I was thinking around 4-5k and slight slip then right off quick to get it picking up, I dont think the wheelspin will be anything like the Pod, due to harsh concrete and fatter tyres.
