Miguel
Running them Piggy back just makes life a bit easier . The stock ECU can take care of Aircon functions , clocks, cam control ect ect basicaly the house keeping. It then leaves the Standalone to take care of business and run the engine all on its tod. Correct And no Jake I went straight for a M800 as I wanted the cam control to be taken care of by the unit as well

Mig there is a thread about the Motec over on the US Supra forums and I think there is some mention of Gearbox control. http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=359504

I meant that I realised the M800 had the cam control for the VVTi and I thought that is what you had.

Correct Dave would be your man The M600 in the orange car is running just as Mig said, using the stock ecu to do the housework while it takes care of the engine side of things. Miguel
Yes bud, I have kept an eye on that thread over there as well as any that have poped up in the past when motec is mentioned..And the question ALWAYS gets either overlooked or not answered directly. Other than using it In PB mode so the stocker controls the box like yours I havent seen no direct evidence/answer on total Auto control yet. Either they are keeping quiet about it or no-one wants to answer for some strange reason. Doesnt really matter to be honest as running them PB is fine. Many many people do it on manuals also just for simplicity. But it would be nice to know if it could because , and this is going to sound like a broken record, the only one is AEM as far as can be seen that does it all. Just would be nice to know If we are spending big money or real good ecu's like Motec, EFI's, Autronic that they could be used to control gear changes too..makes them so much more appealing then, not to mention they really come into VFM then. Would be nice if some of the guys that run them over here with their contacts could confirm the possiblity.
Jake
Reading some of the SF thread Joe linked to, would I be right in thinking the motec software is available for me to connect a laptop to the motec and see what it's doing and arse about with the settings? Not that I'm brave enough to mess with it but it would be interesting to see.
