Supra ST Myster Posted May 30, 2006 Share Posted May 30, 2006 If the camera van was sitting in a 60 zone, can they get you in the 50 zone just before it turns into the 60 zone or do they messure you in the zone they are in?? I have done a small map, oh please excuse the details, not quite to scale but you get the point, plus im on Holiday so have plenty of time to do this :d I wasnt Speeding as behind another car but just curious. However I would imagine that they have set up in that location with the specific intention of catching people jumping the signs. i.e. up to 60 before entering the 60 zone. If they have set the camera to (in this instance) 300 yards, they know full well what the speed limit is there. Remember the limit starts AT THE SIGN not when you see it or as most people do when slowing into villages about 150yds AFTER the sign. BASHTHEBISHOP Posted May 30, 2006 Share Posted May 30, 2006 Alot of those bloddy vans can get you upto 1km away.... so definitely getting you in the 50 limit. I unfortunately have to travel the south west part of the M4 alot and those fckuing vans got me 3x in 6wks 3yrs back and i am a very aware driver but you cant clock them at that distance.
