Heh :)

......namecalling is sooooooo much more mature. lol

Anyhooooooo, it is a tad harsh and magneto, if my comments made you cry then I will happily give you a cuddle until your parents are ready to collect you. I am being a bit of a cnut but this type of thing bugs me more than anything. If you don't like it then I will take no offense if you click the little ignore button and bansih me forever into the capitalisation abyss.

blimey what a thing to get worked up about, not getting any at home:p

Very, from a moderator aswell!

So what? I moderate, does that mean a) I can't swear? b) I can't enforce forum rules as a member and c) I can't be harsh.

Each to their own, I will not argue your opinions (in fact I have agreed I was harsh) but at the same time, I am entitled to mine.

lol, I am not wound up. I am sitting here laughing. I think it's funny. I have a unique sense of humour. I am laughing my tits off both at my replies and everyone elses.

As far as me getting any at home, I'm not bringing your families or your personal life into this, if you think that's a funny thread to start then we can............

um no.

my original post was based upon a PC gag regarding a phonecall, obviously not everyone got it, there was no offense intended. So before this gets out of hand I apologise.

The joke:

This is an allegedly true story from the WordPerfect helpline. Needless to say the help desk employee was fired; however he/she is currently suing the WordPerfect organization for termination without cause. Actual dialogue of a WordPerfect help desk employee and a WordPerfect customer:

Ridge Hall computer assistance, may I help you?

Yes, I need help, I'm having trouble with my computer

What kind of trouble?

Well, I was just typing along, and all of a sudden all the words went away

Went away?

They disappeared

Hmm. So what does your screen look like right now?

Nothing

Nothing?

It's blank, it won't accept anything that I type

Are you still in WordPerfect, or did you get out?

How do I tell?

Can you see the C: prompt on the screen?

What's a sea-prompt?

Never mind. Can you move the cursor around on the screen?

There isn't one:I told you. It wont accept anything I type

Does your monitor have a power indicator?

What's a monitor?

It's the thing with the screen on it that looks like a TV. Does it have a little light that tells you when it's on?

I don't know

Well, then look on the back of the monitor and find where the power cord goes into it. Can you see that?

Yes, I think so

Great. Follow the cord to the plug and tell me if it's plugged into the wall.

Yes, it is

When you were behind the monitor, did you notice that there were two cables plugged into the back of it, not just one?

No

Well, there are. I need you to look back there and find the other cable

Okay, here it is

Follow it for me and tell me if it's plugged securely in the back of the computer.

I can't reach

Uh huh. Well can you see if it is?

No

Even if you put your knee on something and leaned way over?

Oh, its not because I don't have the right angle, it's because it is dark

Dark?

Yes, the office light is off, and the only light I have is coming in from the window.

Well turn on the office light then

I can't

No, why not?

Because there's a power outage

A power. . . a power outage? Aha, okay, we've got it licked now. Do you still have the boxes and manuals and packing stuff that your computer came in

Well, yes. I keep them in the closet

Good. Go get them, and unplug your system and pack it up just like it was when you got it. Then take it back to the store that you bought it from

Really? Is it that bad?

Yes, I'm afraid it is

Well, all right then, I suppose. What do I tell them?

Tell them you are too fucking stupid to own a computer

I was trying to be clever and kill two birds with one stone. Lewis for the repost and Tom for quoting the whole thing.

I realised you were mocking Ahh Aristo for doing the massive quote, I was laughing at him too. :)
