carl0s
Much of this Rover head gasket stuff is becoming urban legend, anyone who knows the turbo Rovers knows that it was sorted for good in the mid 90's and the T-series blocks are bulletproof. I thought it was the K-series which was famed for BHGs. The information at http://www.austin-rover.co.uk suggests the engineers knew what was needed to 'fix' it properly, but the bean counters wouldn't allow it. Spyda
I think it should be law that N/A Supra owners have "Non Turbo" across the back window.
Wez
I wouldn't feel too bad mate, it could have been the 620Ti you got done by like what happened to me a while back. Grandad Carriage I use to have a modded one of these, went like shit of shoval until a merc cab wrote it off at a roundabout I kept the engine as I have plans to put it into an old elise or westfield type chassis

Carl
I have a Rover Coupe turbo on my drive. Needs 4 pistons to get running again as they were looking a bit tired. It runs a genuine 350-400bhp and theres very little to touch it to be honest. I now have my Supra Turbo which is a better car by far but it would not have kept up with my Rover,at least not till about 140 when my head gasket would probably have blown as mentioned earlier-lol Never under estimate any cars these days. There are beaten up old Novas that would embarras Porsche 911 turbos up to 120mph. Carl ps-If anyone wants to buy a stupidly fast Rover Coupe then let me know.... geoffvalenti
Here you go, that's what one looks like. lol http://hometown.aol.co.uk/STEB9780/images/side140505.jpg Quick cars, but to me, they just don't have the lines of the Calibra (of course, some may say that's a good thing )

Although I cant afford one now (Im studying at university at the moment) Course you can afford one. Half of the members on here have spent their student loan on a Supra

Andy Supra
My Turbo'd ZR has the engine of a Rover 820Ti in. I'm running 310bhp @ fly with NOS. It's 14.1sec 1/4mile and i've had 155 leptons but thats not GPS speed and the cars got 19" wheels on so speedo maybe out. Here it is incase you see it it's on air suspension and handle like it's on rails. The ugly guy next to it is me, I had to come from work to do a photoshoot for the last ever Total MG magazine. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v79/Andymgzr/Photobucket4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v79/Andymgzr/interior.jpg Only engine pic I can find, was when it first went in but it's all colour coded and looking clean and tidy now... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v79/Andymgzr/enginepic.jpg Buying the car and everything I did set me back £24000. I've only had the Supra 2 weeks but I plan to put plenty in to make it unique. But insurance is a killer as I only turned 23 last month.
