I don't remember the last time I saw the word text. In fact I reckon if you do a search for the word 'text' it'll bring up only this thread! Before it dies a well deserved death, though, I'd like to pass comment on this: O well if it gives the older generation something to talk about and be even more sad then what there lives already are by pointing out pointless grammar and spelling, well so be it. 'Sad', in the sense it is meant here, is an interesting term, isn't it? It implies that some diversions are worthless (e.g. being bleakly amused/horrified by basic errors in communication) whilst others (e.g. posting a mean of 12.5 times a day on a car enthusiast's site) are not. Who, I wonder, is qualified to judge that? It's a term that is very comforting for the mediocre everywhere, because it effectively says: "It's OK to have a bit of a dabble in something, that's all well and good. However, if you're too precise, thoughtful or just really into something, then that means you must have some personality defiency." This especially applies if the interest is outside their tiny mental horizons. Anticipating: "i was just winding up but is seo serous and on here lol at that" Cliff P.S. Could be seen as sad posting 12.5 posts per day, how ever I find it a time filler while my better half catch's her soaps. Altough definition of sad can be seen in so many ways for example actually going into somone personal profile to find their posting ratio could be seen as sad and then commenting on it, a great need for ammunition. As for ammunition, I hardly think I need any - you're making such good use of your own. A tip, though: watch out for those pesky feet of yours. In my "forward thinking" organisation, I have seen over the years, a decline in standards of spelling and grammer and the proliferation of text speak appearing in reports. Official reports, not just internal reports. What concerns me, is not only the decline in educational standards in this country, but how, when one points out the error, in an attempt to improve the authors' standards, it is seen as overbearing conduct or even workplace bullying. I kid you not. I suppose it's the way in which you tell someone that they've made a mistake. I think it's easier in person than on here. Emails etc can be taken out of context and come across aggressive etc. Personally I hate making mistakes so when someone points something out to me i can't help but be annoyed.
