b_have
Time has come for more power, after speaking with Ian C I'm leaning towards a T67DBB but am wanting to keep a wide powerband with around 600 BHP. Any other options around?
Nic
HKS T-04Z? http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/turbo/hanyo/to4/to4.html Supragold has this on his Supra http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=34 Available from here
Gamer
If I was in the market for a new turbo I would almost definitely get a T67DBB. Possibly a T71DBB if I wanted more grunt up top. The 67 will be a bit more streetable IMO...
Lucifer
Charlie, If I were you I woudl go PHR Stage 2 and get Ben to Massage it, DBB too.
b_have
Thanks Nic, so tell me about a TO4Z (my gf gave up on the techi Jp translation!) I see it is dbb and various a/r's available. How will this compare to my PHR T61? Is it less laggy than a BL T67DBB?
b_have
Charlie, If I were you I woudl go PHR Stage 2 and get Ben to Massage it, DBB too. Cheers martin , will give Jarret a shout.

b_have
Any other options between 61 and 67? Terry, did I read you had a special hybrided 61 dbb? Need to see some real life dyno plots!
SimonB
Terry has basically the same turbo as me, a Garrett GT35R. It should be good for 600bhp, just about. Mine is a .81 A/R, you can also get a 1.06 A/R housing. Or you could go for a GT40R, that'll easily manage 600-700 I would think. Mine on stock cams with no real ignition advance mapped in yet is at full boost at 3750rpm, it starts making decent boost around 3000.

Miguel
Any other options between 61 and 67? Terry, did I read you had a special hybrided 61 dbb? Need to see some real life dyno plots! Terrys dyno Is here: http://bigsupra.co.uk/t_saunders.html And I think IanC has his dyno of his plain bearing on here which will give some idea and also his DBB thread. Hope some of that helps you. b_have
Thanks Mig, like Terrys plot, would love to see boost v rpm.Wonder what a/r that is. So, looks like a choice between a BL GT35R ala Saunders/PHR stage2 Obiwan massaged/or a T67DBB Any more for any more?
Ian C
I don't think I can give you any more data about my turbos than I already have I'm sticking with the T67 series, I plan on, real soon now, winding the boost up a bit -Ian
Alex
You have 3 choices IMO GT4088R T67DBB PHR Stage 2+ All are DBB...and both will deliver the power...the 4088 is a wee bit smaller though and so it may be the better bet. I've not seen a 4088R dyno though to know how it spools. But if it is faster to spool as it's smaller size suggests then it will be good. However it does depend on the boost you're intending to run...a T61 will deliever 600HP if you wind it up enough

Alex
Anyone know how much TO4Z's are? Don't even bother...they are mega money and way way worse than a T67DBB...the fancy shroud actually costs spool and power. T04Z = Waste Of Money
Lucifer
I have to agree with Alez, from what we have seen so far, they are m£ga bucks and dont offer anything more than anoy other DBB. As for being worse, who knows.

Alex
Think we need to get the PHR S2+ and the T67DBB on the rollers...or comparative datalogs from a PHR kit to Ian's big DBBT67 write up. Datalogs of a 5th gear roll from 2000rpm would be really useful.
