mines is on all the bloody time and my brake fluid is spot on

James, when I had the active spoiler ECU and switch connected, but not the motor, the Warning triangle stayed on permanently. If the Active Spoiler light is flashing it's a strong possibility that this might be the cause.

pixel i dont have an active spoiler any longer, blitz front, so could that be the cause that its looking for it? or have i grabbed the wrong end of the stick? the active spoiler button below the headunit does not flash, but then again after about 3 months after i got the car i unplugged that switch taking apart the dash, then i plugged it back in and it was flashing and woudl not switch off, so i have unplugged it again

Right then - sounds like that is the cause then:

If you take the dash out and check whether the Active Spoiler ECU is still connected (AFAICR its the top box behind the stereo) If it is still connected that will cause the light to remain on permanently. You can disconnect the A/S ECU with no detrimental effects (My car came with the loom but never had an A/S)

Check that and let me know whether it's fixed :D
