FMIC Hoses

Hey all,

I have an ARC front mount on my car, and the hoses are looking a bit tired and perished. In addition to that, I think the hose coming out of the throttle body is too short as it's pulls the hardpipe towards the engine, and the aircon pulley is actually cutting into the hose at the bottom of it (see attached pic). I have just tried to pull the hardpipe out of the hose going into the throttle body a bit to give the pulley some space, but when I took it for a test drive, the hose going into the throttle body just blew itself off

Is it possible to get replacement hose kits for the ARC FMIC (does anyone else have this?), or a universal hose kit. Or is it just a case of measuring them all up and ordering the appropriate Samco's?

Cheers for any help,

J

I can get anything like that made up in Steel, Stainless, or even Titanium.

All polished welds and you'll be impressed at the welding. Not like a bird sh*t on it like some I've seen.

All I need is your pipes to copy.

I know you meant the plastic bits but with a better hard pipe you can eliminate that coupling and get away with just a small collar of SAMCO hose or similar.

Hmmm .... I did search about for any other posts, but couldn't really find anything? Apologies if it is a repost :)

Hey Pete - Replacement hard pipes would be good, but I use the car everyday to get to and from work, so taking the car off the road to send the pipes off would be a nightmare for me. Hence a slightly longer 'collar' of SAMCO etc coming out of the throttle body would be more practical for me

LOL - I feel for you Chris. My Dad rocked up the other day with a JCB that (for some unknown reason) he just decided that he needed. He has now proceeded to dig large holes all over the garden and farm for no apparent reason :p

That would be great if you do have some spare Samco or similar kicking about. I have some left over from my old car, but it's all 90 degree angled bits, and I just need straight sections! I'll give you a call from work tomorrow if that's ok?

Cheers for the help,

James
