Thorin
Overhyped. Don't bother, wait for the DVD. The book is better but Dan Brown really isn't that good a writer.
Gaz6002
I thought the book was ok... just ok though. His others are slightly better. I like the way he structures the stories but not the way he describes events. I'm still waiting to see the film but i'm in no rush - i'm expecting another Hollywood cock-up

tbourner
Apparently you should watch the film before reading the book, otherwise they both appear crap (for some reason - I haven't seen/read either so don't know).
SkyJawa
Quite enjoyed the film too
Thorin
Apparently you should watch the film before reading the book, otherwise they both appear crap (for some reason - I haven't seen/read either so don't know). Don't know about that... However you certainly should not read Angel's and Demon's before Da Vinci Code. It becomes obvious just how crap and lazy a writer he is. Da Vinci code is basically a re-write of Angel's and Demons and his attempt to get it right the second time around. Every character in Da Vinci code has their almost identical twin in the first book (along with many plot lines). The story idea itself is the only good part and he doesn't tell it that well. Bob
I quite enjoyed the film but haven't read the book. Wasn't particularly special, but enjoyable nontheless.
