Damn stupid, at least the sort of driving that goes on at places like this, mainly the track days mentioned in the article, is off the street.

I can't see it being amazingly loud anyway. if you look at the title sequence of the last series, the aerial view doesn't seem to have that many houses round it.

There's a story in our local paper about people living near Croft circuit complaining about noise. Chrissakes, they bought the bloody houses, Croft has been a racing car circuit since the 1930s. The houses were built in the 80's.

We should all email Top Gear and tell them if they're not allowed to race the cars on track they should 'test drive' all the loudest (road legal) cars through the village every day instead!!!:D

I like your thinking.

Didn't they move to this airfield from the old location ?

So jezza clarkson could be closer to his house.

I wouldn't have thought so. He lives in Oxfordshire / Gloucestershire.

It does amaze me when people moan about noise after moving in. For exp there are lots of new houses being built right next to railway lines. So what happens after people move in,,,, They complain about the noise the trains make, they all must be a bunch of nutters, who decide to live right next to a runway, race track, railway etc, then complain about the noise

Yes, and I bet "noise thoughts" never even cross their minds during takeoff and landing when they are taking their 3.2 overseas holidays per year...........

WTF, they should be privalged to hear some of the finest machinery known to man. I too thought that at the top of the opening show for the new series they wanted to move to somewhere more appropriate but it was gonna cost shed loads?
