Whitesupraboy2 Posted May 21, 2006 Share Posted May 21, 2006 ok i ve had a weird problem of my battery light coming on,cat overheating light coming on and fluid light coming on with of course the triangle. Now when i pull away with no revs, in other words jumpy pull away the light jumps on and off. Sometimes it will come on when driving sometimes it wont. I've worked out it is a dodgy earth...i just need to find it, below are clues if someone can point me to where this dodgy earth may be, please help * when braking the light comes on, take foot off brake it goes off, put it back on it will go on. * When lights are on sidelights or dipped, i dont get none of the above lights come on at all! never. thanks James Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

HERE yeh battery is fine, if battery earth came off i presume id lose most electronics, though i will check tomorrow Now this is where i become slow ... i need a diagram that rather then electrical diagrams....shows exactly where i will find the earth on the car Also someone telling me which one is most likely there must be loads of earth points on a car like this Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Lee P Posted May 22, 2006 Share Posted May 22, 2006 Check all your earth points, you may have to run some new ones, I had a problem on my car but mine lost all power. The earthing on jap cars is shite, my battery is mounted in the boot and I had to run a new earth down the car from battery to the front of the chassis and one from the engine to the chassis just to get it started. JustGav Posted May 22, 2006 Share Posted May 22, 2006 There is two earthing ponts on either side just in front of the door... if you have a look in the two foot wells on the pilar just below the dash, you will see two sets of white wires bolted to the chassis...
