SkyJawa
I assume I just replace this pipe to the new one with the DV fitted to it (what do I do with the OEM D/V?):
oxygene
mine one didnt have the extra pipe...it straight replaced the factory one....
Paul Laing
Dunno what that pipe is, the one i have which is a xmas present replaces the stock bov. Can't you just take it off the pipe or is it welded on? Paul
Supra ST Myster
dont you just take off the pipe in the pic, replace it with your new one and then just either leave the standard one in, or you can block off all 3 pipes.. Just as a matter of interest can you have one hks bov where the stock one goes and also this hks bov that replaces the origanal pipe, what would happen?? Would you set one at a different pressure setting?
Supra ST Myster
P.S where did you buy that from as i would like one that replaces that pipe to??
SkyJawa
I bought Michel's (on here) 2nd hand one, thats how it came, I've seen them like that before too!! I thought that was the pipe it replaced , but its mainly what to do with the OEM as I've heard you can have a DV on each side in both locations, but don't know if that counts for the stock one too and what the benefits are etc. Or what to do if you wanna remove the stock one! SkyJawa
Eg: And where do you plumb the small hose on the DV into?
Supra ST Myster
the small hose can go to the origanal one and T it and leave the stock one in, or remove the stock one, join the small hose where the stock one went and block off the 2 bigger hoses, or i think there is another location on that side of the pipe work with the HKS bov that you can take it to, not sure where but belive dude has it going to it?? SkyJawa
Ta. Yep - think I'll remove the old one and cap the pipes. So anyone got pics of where they have the little one attached to or is it simply run from over by the stock location?
SkyJawa
Pic attached of general location of smallish pipe on the throttle body I can T into......
SkyJawa
Update with pics from manifold to check I have the right pipe! The one circled?
SkyJawa
And it goes down to like a disc thing that 2 other pipes also go into in this circle!:

Supra ST Myster
hi Paul. Yeah can you pm me a price for one of these with a hks flange on it if possible. thanks
SkyJawa
What can you use to block of the pipes from the original DV?
Supra ST Myster
You can get from b & q those rubber ends that goes on the bottom of chair legs, they do different sizes and they work a treat on mine with a Oclamp for the 2 pipes that you will want to block off. And for the smaller pipe attatch a bit of rubber pipeing to it and put a long screw into the end, large enough to screw it in so it stays there. Rob_B
Your finger ? Have you got it working yet mate ? What does it sound like ? I have one on order atm from Envy.. Hope its loud :D Rgds, Rob.
SkyJawa
No mate, like I said, I can't find anything to bung the 2 bigger pipes on the OEM one with. Also not sure how the pipe is gonna fit the throttle body, doesn't look big enough! Hopefully Michel will shed some light on it when he gets my email
Rob_B
Hi Mate.. Can't you just run it with the stock bov still in place ? I think other people run theirs like this. ? Mind you though, if you did I imagine that you wouldn't get as louder whoosh, so maybe its a bad idea :D Rgds, Rob.
SkyJawa
The consensus seemed to be it defeated the object of the HKS......
Supra ST Myster
The rubber bits i was on about doesnt go into the pipes, its like a sleeve that fits over the pipe and then you fit a clamp that does up tighter as you screw it, and that will make sure no air escapes, i have used it on mine and works fine, they are normally near the screws section...
