rik Posted May 20, 2006 Share Posted May 20, 2006 As my car has been standing for a year or more i want to freshen up the brakes before it goes back on the road. I'm thinking fluid, pads discs and goodridge lines. I can't afford to upgrade to uk stuff at the moment so new j- spec parts will do. I've been looking at some of the differant pads on offer from some of the traders sites on here and am wondering, is it best to stick to oem pads or not? michael Posted May 20, 2006 Share Posted May 20, 2006 OEM are perfectly all right for fast road driving, beyond that consider the Chris Wilson pads, Hawk or Endless - I'm using Endless at the moment and have no complaints, prior to that I used Porterfield and before that Hawk HP+ - I'd have the Hawk ones again but not the Porterfields Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Think i'll probably stick with these then for the time being. I'm not exactly going to be exploring the cars limits when i first get it on the road. Nic Posted May 20, 2006 Share Posted May 20, 2006 Hi Rik I have TRD pads available, I use these give better bite and minimal fade and are a good performance upgrade for the smaller spec Supra brakes. They are £58 + postage for fronts, £58 + postage for rears. I can also supply Goodridge brake lines at £55 a set (front and rear) + postage, (need to check availability of these).
