Supe
Hi , I have a j-spec TT, manual. It has the following mods: HKS mushroom filter 5" unknown exhaust with cats still in HKS boost guage stock turbos I prefer 10w/50 silkolene fully synthetic , but I have been told 5w/40. does it really make any difference if I stick with 10w50 as its thicker ? merckx
For BPU Remove both cats Cooler spark plugs Walbro fuel pump Fit fuel cut defender Fit restrictor ring to keep boost below 1.2 bar The noise is fanastic in enclosed spaces with high buildings on each side. 10w50 is fine, 5w/40 might be better for a cold winter but we don't get them very often. jamesmark
and ditch the mushroom air filter, they are awful, good at stopping big bugs but not anything else imo

SUPRASUZUKI
Why do the turbo's over boost when the cats are removed? Is the wastegate not adequate to control the boost, requiring exhasut back pressure to assist with the job?? Sorry if this is a dumb question. letmeshowyou
not a dumb question - you've got it spot on - just not big enough to cope on a Jspec
Thorin
I've mentioned the FWHP thing before, I don't know anyone else who uses that to mean Fly Wheel. RWHP is obviously rear wheel, so what are people to expect FWHP to mean?
