I'm a HUGE fan, queued for 4 hours in the rain for tickets.. he played for an hour :complain: and it was all new stuff... which I'm not really feeling... sorry to say for a Moz fan... still nice to see him... :)

...but exchanged Xbox live gamertags with fellow Moz fan post gig.. so that was something.... weird eh?

anyone seeing him on this tour? :search:

....god I'm so drunk... :hunter: going to Blackpool tomorrow for Charlotte's nan's 90th or soemthing... hope we make it..... ;)

Ok, just to return to the glory days :)

Take me out tonight

Where theres music and theres people

And theyre young and alive

Driving in your car

I never never want to go home

Because I havent got one

Anymore

Take me out tonight

Because I want to see people and i

Want to see life

Driving in your car

Oh, please dont drop me home

Because its not my home, its their

Home, and Im welcome no more

And if a double-decker bus

Crashes into us

To die by your side

Is such a heavenly way to die

And if a ten-ton truck

Kills the both of us

To die by your side

Well, the pleasure - the privilege is mine

Take me out tonight

Take me anywhere, I dont care

I dont care, I dont care

And in the darkened underpass

I thought oh god, my chance has come at last

(but then a strange fear gripped me and i

Just couldnt ask)

Take me out tonight

Oh, take me anywhere, I dont care

I dont care, I dont care

Driving in your car

I never never want to go home

Because I havent got one, da ...

Oh, I havent got one

And if a double-decker bus

Crashes into us

To die by your side

Is such a heavenly way to die

And if a ten-ton truck

Kills the both of us

To die by your side

Well, the pleasure - the privilege is mine

Oh, there is a light and it never goes out

There is a light and it never goes out

We were going to go to that! But we didn't in the end.

Big fan, I've got every Smiths and Morrissey album. Not keen on the latest album though. He's even more up himself than he was before - and that's saying something.

If you like M do you also like Billy Bragg? He did an even worse thing, last time I went to see him he played the whole gig with none of his own songs - only Woody Guthrie ones!

:wtfsign:

I thought you'd be going actually.

I wasn't that impressed. It was lush to see him in the flesh and he is gorgeous but he did most of the new album, which i'm not keen on.

And the encore was only one song, which was Irish Blood, English Heart.

We did meet some 'diamond' pompey geezers afterward though dawwn the Guild'all.

That's "daan na Gild'all" if you don't mind :)

TBH I didn't know he was on until this week and it all seemed like too much hassle to sort out - true sign you're getting old.

What did the pompey mooshes make of your 'Wi Eye Pet" accents? (Do you both have that Boro accent?)

There were touts outside the gig selling tickets man, that's lazy.

But actually we just walked in to the side door and we didn't even get our tickets checked!

No, only Mike's from the Boro, i'm from Farnham. I've been putting up with Pompey louts for years now.

It's a once in a lifetime gig though no?
How so?

I think if you've seen him before then seeing him now would be sure to disappoint.

He should retire before he starts playing to working mens clubs. He was great once, and made me consider becoming a vegetarian for 3 mins, but he's past his sell by date. Sorry to say.

am sorry but talentless springs to mind, i really dont see the attraction, but in my opinion only
Yeah I thought that once, when I hadn't actually listened to the albums - I just went by first impressions of the sound. Then I realised how wrong I was.

Well i'm only 25 so i was too young the first time round. It was seeing a legend for me. I'm sure i would've been disappointed but i loved the last album.

i have listened to a few songs but admit not the whole album and was not impressed, rather turned off actually, but everyones taste is different, the only album that has done it for me this year when i bought it was james blunt, i thought that was a marvelous album but its only got 10 songs on it

The Smith were ace. Solo Morrissey hasn't done it for me.

Pity he only played for an hour. Bet the tickets weren't cheap either. Last time time I saw my fave band, Fugazi, they played about two and a half hours on each of the three nights and tickets were £7. Up the Punks!

But James Blunt on the other hand. Where would one start? Probably with kneecapping him and working ones way upwards. "sing now, biatch" as his teeth get drilled out. Still fair play to him. He has introduced some new ryming slang into modern usage.
