Mark Ayling
This is purely theoretical you understand, obviously I'm not planning on doing anything like this... If one wanted to fit some extra bulbs into the standard headlight clusters - say, for example, some *mumble*pace-car strobe lights*mumble* - would it just be a case of drilling a hole in the back of each headlight cluster to stick the bulb through? (obviously the holes would have to be sealed some how as well) Or would it not be that simple....? TIA

Mark Ayling
you don't understand - they can be switched between white, red, purple and blue, plus you can adjust how fast they flash.....er.....I mean....apparently the blue ones should be good for getting people to move out of your way though.... albundy68
impersonating a police officer!!! - i like it!!! got the sidelights in the UK headlights working no problem on my facelift car just by hooking them up to the lower sidelights so both pairs come on at once, but i guess youre gonna need switch else you'd 'ahem' strobe, everytime you have your sidelights on, then as long as they run on the same voltage it ought to work i would have thought??? albundy68
you just need to hook the wires up, to piggy back off the sidelights, then a switch in the stobe wiring would stop them from comming on everytime you put yer sides on, as in switch off, you could still have your sides on, switch on, you could have sides and strobes on, - but then you couldnt have the strobes on without the sidelights... and that'd solve the powering issues, but yeah youre still gonna need to drill to get the strobes in the headlight, anyhow if you work it out, do tell, cant beat a bit of high speed driving with the blue lights blazing, (on a private road, of course!!!) Sharpie
Mark, are you trying to find new ways in which to loose your license each year It will be 2004 very soon. I guess it's just no fun being done for speeding each time. It's good to see some creativity going on here :D

Mark Ayling
Here are my thoughts re wiring.... I want to wire them through independantly from anything else. I was thinking (as I don't have an active spoiler) that I could make use of the two buttons for the spoiler - one switch ("auto-off") is either on or off and the other ("spoiler down" or whatever) is only on when pressed... The other problem I think I'm going to have is finding a decent grommet to get the wires through...

Adam W
Hmmm, could be GREAT for getting the Outside Lane Owners Club out of your way on these long dark nights! Of course theres a danger that someone might realise the scam after they had moved over and record your plate as you passed them; but if that happened to me a Mr R. Sole at 150 Empy-Aitch Road would be getting the follow-up knock on the door from the BiB
