smithaldo
Just out of curiosity why can't an auto be towed? Always wondered.
Kranz
The auto box needs to have its oil pump running to lube all the spinny whizzy bits inside. It only pumps when the engine is running, not when towing. Prop shaft should be disconnected from rear axle & strapped up to tow on the back wheels. A full lift or rear suspended are the other options.
merckx
Not sure about the Supra, but some auto cars can be towed if you restrict the speed and don't tow too far. Some need a little extra oil to be added before towing.
