Kranz
My '93 J Spec has been dropped (Tein coils) and as a result its quite harsh over bumps (but great round corners;) ). The airbags were disabled by the previous owner as he was told "they may go off" due to the harsh ride. Anyone else heard this? I'm fed up of the warning light & if I have a head on I'd like a nice soft pillow to park my bonce on, not take a bite out of the steering wheel!! ManwithSupra
Ive never heard of that happening before, sounds like there maybe a fault with the Airbag system if all the airbags are in place and not deployed. Sounds to me like a bit of fib im afraid. I belive airbag sensors need a bit more than a harsh ride in order for them to deploy the airbags. With that light on the Airbags will not deploy in an event of a crash. Anyone else heard of harsh suspension setting off airbags ??

No fault, they've just been disconnected!
Chris Wilson
I have 775 lbs ins front springs on my Skyline and the air bag doesn't fire, even riding Oultons notoriously bumpy kerbs. Your springs are probably not even half as stiff, so I think he may have been hiding an air bag fault...
Kranz
Ok, Thanks. I'll give it the once over & check if its all connected or if it is actually a fault. Battery disconnected, of course... or else
