milocoon
Didn`t seem very big, it was low level and reasonably quiet but banked over, the 4 engines give it away, Bristol and Broughton were the real targets today ! I saw on the news that Heathrow told Airbus keep it Quiet and they obeyed ! Its like any other airplane / ford mondeo ! Sorry but CONCORDE is better, bit like a SUPRA TT really, bloody expensive, bad for the enviroment but it ain`t BLAND and like a Dinosaur maybe extinct in a few years ! Does anyone here know how to decat an A380 that would be most excellent !
andrew7
I live 1/2 mile from Filton Airport. It is pretty big, but not as big as I expected. Pretty noisy too. Came over about three times...

Homer
Saw this in Germany a few months ago. It doesn't take up much more room than Jumbo, but the fuselage is huge. Damn ugly looking thing too! Concorde, now there a nice looking plane...
skaeley
Flew one yesterday, nice take off from Singapore, into Hong Kong and back.......bumpy landing due to cross winds otherwise not bad ! Easy to fly, easier than Boeing 777, and about the same as any of the other sidestick fly by wire Airbusses. I have two of them at work ready and waiting for their customers... Gaz6002
how tempting would it be to race a supra against a plane on a runway? I hear they have to go 140MPH to get off the ground... that be N/A territory me thinks! if we have a resident "biggles" then lets set it up

skaeley
Guys - In our full flight simulators anything is possible ! To be honest with you, the pilots job isn't what it used to be, the routes are pre-planned, you can auto take-off and land, I tryed to do a barrel roll in a Airbus A320/340 and the damn plane wouldn't let me, everything is under computer control...... The good old planes like the 747-400 aren't so elegant so you have more opportunities to 'play'. The military planes and helicopters, now thats a different ball game....
