Homer
Thats worse than asking 'how long is a piece of string'! What are you aims for the car, do you indend to drag race it, track day toy, daily driver, weekend A & B road toy, etc...

Chiefgroover
Most kits are pretty good if well installed and mapped. Boost Logic, PHR, HKS, Greddy, the world is your oyster! good luck.

terribleturner
As said before all depends on what you want it for?? Rush has just had a T70 put on his J-spec auto by Turbofit. The turbo starts spooling at 1900rpm and is on full boost around 3500, and boy did i enjoy driving that today

terribleturner
Or mine, starts spooling at 1500 RPM and makes full boost by 3000 in 6th Very true, and your 61 feels damn nice. With the mention of forged pistons im guessing budget isn't an issue, so a t61 hybrid would be perfect as Terry's car demonstraits.
warmup.me.uk
Or mine, starts spooling at 1500 RPM and makes full boost by 3000 in 6th what is the price of your kit ? i just want to keep my options open i want as little as lag as pos just loads of fun from the lights leave every one for dust i cant have my supra slower than Ferrari's. Guest Usmann A
turbos sit a bit higher with the XS manis dont they? Would have to cut a hole to fit a GT42 then, LOL. BL mate all the way. Your going with a kit that has good VFM, and good quality parts, with proper PTS turbos. Un biased veiwpoint there pal, although I run a few BL bits on mine, just a privateer. Also, pls pls pls go with a kit with a 4inch metal intake pipe, (sorry silicone doesnt do it for me) ps, I swear people are copyig my TAIL bov location ...... .... only messing
Chiefgroover
Budget for the extras you need Clutch, fuel kit, ecu and mapping, FMIC, better plugs, boost controller and exhaust. All this with the turbo kit come to quite a bit!.
warmup.me.uk
sound like lots of kits out there how would say the best way to spend about 5k on here what kit would you go for ?
terribleturner
Best way is to contact ALL the traders on here and see what they can offer for that money and what power you will see. Then come back and search for the kits on here and maybe PM people who have them fitted to see what they think.
jase_93tt
Is it just my turbo, or because I havnt had the ecu mapped for the turbo or connected the boost controller to set the gain levels as my turbo dosnt hit any decent amount of boost till 4000rpm, lol. Pulls like a shinkansen from then on though Makes me wonder whether it would have been worth going for a smaller DBB given the choice of turbo again.
