Digsy
I was inspecting Ian C's head last night (oo-er) and I noticed that the intake ports were assymetric (so were the exhaust ports for tthat matter). Not only that, but the pockets for the injectors were offset to one side of the port. I can understand why Toyota may have used an assymetric port for packaging the intake manifold, or maybe to induce some swirl in the cylinder, but the offset injecotr pocket is a new feature to me. Has anyone got any background information on this design and why it has been used?
