Supragal
Well, my SORN renewal came through for the supe... say's I can do it online, brilliant. Went to have a look and the first thing it asks for is the number in the yellow box...errr... there is no number. Brilliant. Theres even a diagram showing you where to find the number so it's not me being thick. Great system. Anyone know why?
edd_t
i had the same problem when trying to get my new road tax. am wondering if its because i havnt had one of them new computerised MOT's yet! but then wouldnt have thought that would have anything to do with SORN. Supragal
well this is it... I wondered if it was due to being off the road but then you couldn't ever renew SORN so I guess not!

Angarak
well this is it... I wondered if it was due to being off the road but then you couldn't ever renew SORN so I guess not! Supragal, SORN must be renewed every 12 months from first declaring SORN. :: http://www.direct.gov.uk/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/UntaxedVehicle/UntaxedVehicleArticles/fs/en?CONTENT_ID=4022058&chk=LT7VlS You can declare SORN : * online – if you have a vehicle registration document or certificate (V5 or V5C) in your name. You will need to provide the reference number which is unique to your V5/V5C . If your V5 doesnt have a unique ref no, you may have to phone the DVLA and get a new one sent out. Supragal
I understand you need to renew it (I would know!) what I'm saying is whats the point in sending me a letter saying to go to http://www.whatever.com to declare it but on the same letter not supplying me the info I need? But mostly WHY don't I have the info I need, what hasn't been generated kinda thing.
