CJ
Goodly folk of the Supra forum - I need a favour. As I have left the printing company, I no longer have access to a basic typesetter and was wondering if anyone here would like to set a basic design business card for me? If you can help me out, please PM me with you email address and I will send through the details etc. Thank you for your anticipated help. CJ
I thought the business was yours. What are you doing now then Col? I was the MD - not the overall owner. At the moment i am doing feck all and absolutely loving it. I am going to take a few weeks off and then decide what to do next. It maybe time for a change away from printing and the associated industries.
Pete
Ah, makes sense. So all this Supra manual printing sent the profits falling so much they had to get rid of the biggest cash sucking element of the company eh? Good luck with your chosen new career - whatever it may be. What's going on the business cards then? "Professional Internet Bum?" (I've got some spare of those )

(I've got some spare of those ) The business cards are for Rose (my friend the artist) as she has been asked to exhibit some of her drawings and water colours in a gallery so she thinks she should be more "profeshneal"

Pete
Cool. My brother in law is starting a custom sized frame making business if that's any interest. They make really high quality stuff - and it's way cheaper than anywhere else. They were looking to approach artists and the like to supply suitable frames and make them up etc.

Thank you Mr. Prawn. I have the wording and a Chinese symbol (the Chen symbol) already here just need someone to set it ready for printing. I am also lucky enough to have the old contacts in the business and as she only wants 250 cards, we can produce them digitally.

colsoop
Another thumbs up for Vista print from me. I designed my cards in paintshop then uploaded them, they did the rest. I was pleased with the result
CJ
At that price I would use them too but need someone to put the design into a print ready file. I would do it but I dont have Paint Shop - nor the skills!
Pete
http://www.printing.com are excellent just for the printing too, they offer a hand holding service and can do the design for minimal cost too. There may be an office local to you?
DamanC
I think you can do it in paint if need be, as you can uploads *.psd (paintshop) *.jpg *.bmp etc. Failing that you can design them online with the aid of their template funtion, which i might add is very good.
