Zed
I think most people avoid a 0w rated oil as it is a bit too thin. I wouldn't go below 5w, there's lots of info on here though.
Robert
yeah i wouldnt go below 5w

Robert
5w-40 or 10w-50 fully synthetic

oilman
If it's a stock road car then 5w-40 synthetic but use a decent one particularly if you drive the car hard or do a lot of short journeys. Cheers Simon
Tricky-Ricky
I have recently gone back to 5W30 (recommended??) from 10W40 after blowing my FMS i had oil pressures of 37 psi to over 100psi with 10W40 but i still see very similar pressures now?? oilman
I really don't think it's the oil, the difference in viscosity at 100degC is not hugely different between an sae 30 and an sae 40. We run many members cars here on 40's and 50's without issues, you have another fundemental problem. Cheers Simon
Tricky-Ricky
Thought so, just wanted to hear it from someone who really knows their oil;) LOL
Chiefgroover
10/50 is hard to beat!
