Dragonball Posted May 15, 2006 Share Posted May 15, 2006 Couple of ideas For your stay in our place Pierre&Vacances Belle Dune,and your 3/4 hours of free time, you can: - Go to Rouen, with its cathedral and its historic city center at 1:30 hour of road (www.rouentourisme.com) - Go to Amiens, with its cathedral, its district St Leu, The hortillonages (gardens surrounded with water), its breweries and its town center at 1 hour of road (www.amiens.fr/decouvrir/tourisme_0/home.htm) - Go to Dieppe with its quays, its churches, and its walk in the heart of the town center at 1:15 hour of road (www.dieppetourisme.com/gb/alaune.php) - Do the tour of the Baie de Somme, by visiting the cities of Mers Les Bains, Cayeux sur Mer, The Cap Hornu, Saint Valery sur Somme, Le Crotoy, La Baie d'Authie for three hours. - Stay and use the Waterworld / cycling and amenities in the resort - Stay in Fort-Mahon and visit their beaches etc Just some ideas - might be an idea for people to decide what appeals and join up with others of a similar mind etc All being well I am heading East to find my great uncles resting place - killed when just 18 in 1918 no one will have visited his grave ever - actually found where it is on the war graves website Suggest we meet back at the tunnel approx 5:30 pm latest?
