Guest sprigg
Hello, i have bought a twin turbo and in my excitment rushed out and bought an apexi power intake induction kit for it. I havent fitted it yet because i am not sure if this can be used with standard maf? It is a kit especially for the supra with the adaptor and what-have-you. Please can someone advise as i am eager to bolt on my new toy. Many thanks.
RedM
Stick with the stock airbox. Many, many people seem to be switching back to it and I'm sure someone will be able to tell you shortly.

Guest sprigg
Hi James...it is an import. I have bought induction kit with the metal pipe. Part no; is 507 T004. Didnt occur to me that the imports and UK specs might be different fitment. Have i purchased the wrong kit do you know? Would be daft thing i would do. RedM thanks for advice seems i have much to learn. Cheers Nige.
jamesmark
sprig if you have bought the metal pipe it should just fit on to the black plastic tube as pictured, if its a j spec then it wont be a tight fit as they dont have a maf i believe, mines didnt anyway, this is mine beofre i sold it the black pipe and the metal one

The J-spec Supras use a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor, the UK spec Supras use a MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. ps. how much did you pay for the kit? Start with the FAQ section (in tech section) loads of useful information in their, also the search button can be very useful too, anything else you can't find an answer to just ask, there is a huge wealth of knowledge here If I can help personally with any questions, or advise about parts you can contact me in the Import Pimp Section (see Traders Section) or by pm or email at the address in my sig below. Always happy to help if I can.

Aftermarket "perforamance" induction kits have a lower pressure drop accross them because they don't filter as well. They also duct air from inside the engine bay, where its hot, rather than from outside where it is cold. Most of the big single guys use induction kits, but that's because they don't have a lot of choice.

Guest laz
hello people......i don`t post that often......but heres something for the n/a owners to look at......my filter is out of the engine bay ... i continued the induction pipe out thruogh where that big plastic plug on the inner wing under the coil, and then put the filter down behind the indicator......direct cold feed all the time! .....it took 2, 90 degree 80mm bends 2, 45 degree 80mm bends and 4 silicone couplers....i also used he exiting induction pipe aswell so no need to relocate the litle vac hose.......the only thing that needs relocating is the intake temp sensor , which i fitted in the existing induction pipe where the plastic canister should be!!!!..............laz
