mattanna
Proper OEM power figures are all stated at the flywheel. My bog-stock NA auto made a rather rmeasly 163rwhp the one and only time I took it to a dyno., The stock figure is 220bhp a the flywheel, so 230 is a good reault, a=but as you said yourself that could come at least partly from an overly pessimistic transmission loss factor - which is a subject that has to be honest been done to death on here. So Digsy do you think your car has lost power or is it a problem doing auto's on a dyno, reliability of dyno figs on auto's can be a problem can't it? Digsy
God knows. My runs at Pod weren't anything to write home about either, but I'm partially putting that down to my inexperience. There's nothing else to make me believe that my car is down on power - certainly to to the extent where I notice it day-to-day. Rear wheel and hub dynos seem to be fraught with innaccuracy. Matt H
All figures for BHP stated by Manufacterers for stock cars are taken from trialing an engine when it is out of the car and the dyno is attached to the fly wheel, only tue way to measure, all cars will loose different amounts throug the tran
