Guest Terry S
Bobbeh as Alex says the HKS 2835's are not sequentials
Guest Terry S
Indeed, thats like having a huge single. No power at low revs, then too much power coming on line making it a nightmare to drive. Doesnt the first turbo with the HKS make it a decent power band? I mean they cant be both bad. Just looking at Christians times, his is an auto and was getting similar times to you on your small single. Look at the terminal speeds. I think mine were higher which would indicate slightly more power. My only point here is IMO/experience, you can select a single that will make silmilar power with less lag than the HKS 2835's. Bobbeh
Ah. Thought they were sequential.. so do they run like a TTC? If so I can understand the laggy issue A LOT clearer
Guest Terry S
yes mate
Alex
Yeah they are not sequential and there is NO option from HKS for smalled 2530's as per the Skylines. If there was I dare say more people would have gone for the 2530 option. I believe the power comes in at about 4000-4500. The uprated stall has meant that they can launch much closer to this powerband and we already know that the Auto is faster than the manual over the 1/4 9 times out of 10. Terminal speed is a good indicator of raw power. ET's are a good indicator of grip, power delivery and gearing.
Bobbeh
Thats a bummer, they would have made a nice sequential setup - in theory. On that point, are there any large sequential kits out there? (other than hybrids)
Ian C
Alas, no. The plumbing is such a compact package that bigger turbos physically won't fit. -Ian

Guest Terry S
you can probably find little garretts that will fit, but the cost would be prohibitive.

Like those GT28's that are in the fensport (MR2T parts) website? Sorry, but turbo's, their sizes and names are a total mystery to me. Guest Terry S
All depends on the flange style.
springbok
Makes loads of sense now.!! There I was just assuming they were sequentials. Thanks for that, back to the drawing board,, bummer,,!!
Guest Terry S
If you want quick spool mate try mine, I will down at Matts in Maidstone soon
Christian
I would have thought 2835s would go really well on a manual; Nathan never complained about lag. Andy Whincup's (RSE Motorsport) is a manual too I think?
Guest Terry S
They are fine, just a narrow power band.
