Daston
ouch this hearts a lot yet cant be assed to see the doc. I some times get a dull ache inbetween my spine and the just below the top of my sholder blade when I push on it I can feel either notted muscle or like a disk sliding around (thats real painful) its in both arms yet on my left hand side sometimes the pain goes through the muscle of between my ribs and a few nights I have woken up thinking I was having a heart attack it was that painful. I put it down to damaging my arms years ago doing Judo but my girl friend also has the same pain in her shoulders could it be that we both use PC's alot? sorry for spelling not all that sober. RedM
It's posture. I had something almost exactly like this. Ended up having to go home from work many times. Couldn't do Kendo either. Did get a nice chair out of it though. Get it looked at though. Please.

RedM
Kendo is all about posture so your aren't being as much of a smart-arse as you think.

Gaz6002
I fractured my 4th and 5th vertibrae 2 years ago in a skiing accident and I have just had to revise my office seating due to the pains re-occurring. Always make sure your wrists are at a 90 degree angle to the desk and make sure that when you look at the monitor you look straight at; not up or down. sounds simple but these 2 things helped me a lot, its weird at first but once you get used to it you find its only comfortable sitting with good posture! garetheves
I deal with this soooo much at work. Everyone is correct in saying its posture. You need to see a Physio or a Chiropracter. Not being biased but id recommend the Physio because they can help you correct the posture and maintain it with exercises etc, but the Chiropracter will just realign your spine, charge you 40 quid, and next week it will be back to how it is now. Get yourself to a Physio if you, they can also give you loads of advice on your workplace, home etc and we can get rid of the knot on your muscle. Pete
I have exactly the same thing at the moment and I KNOW it's due to me using the pc more at night. I used to get CTS symptoms really badly in my wrists - it was agony. Had a physio on the NHS to sort it, some great excersizes. Now I'm quite worried about my shoulder as it's murder. I think starting the gym may have triggered something off too - seems a bit of a coincedence. It's difficult to remain in the correct posture if you're used to slouching. You need a decent chair that supports you where you need. I'm ordering a new once for work ASAP.
