I was thinking about getting the Toyota badge removed (I'm told that using dental floss works well) but I am concerned about any problems with the exposed paintwork (metallic silver) thanks as always................. Guest Martin F Posted November 19, 2001 Share Posted November 19, 2001 Gavin, Did this on ours when i put the gold badges on, and to be honest the old badges did not leave a lot behind. I used a flat plastic blade to remove the old badges and then some abrasive cleaning polish (a Turtle Wax one i think) to clean up the paintwork. Yours, J Ooops, what I mean't to say was remove completely the Toyota name not Toyota badge/symbol. It looks like the letters are individually stuck on. regards............ mrpug106 Posted November 20, 2001 Share Posted November 20, 2001 A good way to do this is too get a hairdryer warm up the sticky part of the badges...and slowly pull off.....any residue left white spirit will get off followed by a dose of wax..! People don't seem to know what mine is anyway, so adding to the air of mystery might help (although Gran Turismo put a bit more knowledge around).
