Adam
Have been outside in the sun moving the air filter from the engine bay to just below the drivers side indicator inside the body kit. Its just a trail at the mo. has anyone else done it and does it make much difference.

Adam
Sweet. The heat shield i had was ok but was still getting hot air into the engine. Now it should be pure cold air the quicker i go.

Are you monitoring charge temps to see what difference it makes? Or just go for the noticeable feel factor? Good luck and let us know how you get on. Rob
Photos would be nice, please? I remember this being discussed waaay back in 2000. The main concern was cutting a hole in the side of the engine bay and any insurance repercussions.
b_have
Be sure to seal the area under the headlight with foam, then you will have a perfect ambient feed.

chilli
I'd like to relocate the filter like that, unfortunately the SMIC is in the perfect place for it by the looks of it lol, maybe reason to go FMIC but I'm undecided. Good work, let us know if you honestly think it makes a difference, weather is getting warmer so maybe it will be more noticeable
Adam
First pic inside the body kit. Has worked out quiet well
Tricky-Ricky
I think there is one flaw that has been overlooked! if you relocate the filter to a place in the front that gets plenty of fresh air you will also get PLENTY OF WATER when it rains, or the road is wet:tongue: a soaking filter doe's not flow much air.
