michael
Take 982.... I'm fed up of these hanging around in the office at home so I'm offering them for sale. Willing to consider amusing offers on most of them, will also consider swaps for things Not state of the art but all capable of running Windows and connecting up to your favourite mapping software via a COM port, some have USB, some don't - beyond what I've written I can't seem to motivate myself to find much more info, if one takes your fancy have a look on Google or ask and I'll try to find the info you want. The list... prepare to be taken back in time a little IBM T20 Battery not very good, lid marked (glue), screen not 100% (series of lines across 1/3 up from bottom) but able to use - boots up OK. P3 700mhz, 128mb RAM, 7.23GB HDD, CD writer, Power supply and bag included. Dell Inspiron 3500 - Model: TS30T **** SOLD **** Case slightly damaged (brittle plastics) edge of base and lid fastening but otherwise v. good condition. Boots OK, no dead pixels on 14" screen, Pentium II, 9GB HDD?, 256mb RAM, Dell bag (posh one), internal / external FDD (with cable), docking station / port replicator (when I find it), original documentation. Battery not holding much charge when tested. Compaq Armada 7800 - **** SOLD **** 6266/T/5000/D/0/1 P266 MMX, 5GB, Power issue, sometimes switches off - loose power supply plug, missing screw - could be quick fix, can't find a suitable screw, can't be bothered to look too hard. I used to use this one as an MP3 player connected to the head unit in my last car. Toshiba Satellite 4060XCDT - **** SOLD **** One dead pixel on screen, stereo speakers, Pentium II MMX 333MHz, 4GB HDD, 128MB RAM, battery holds some charge (2 hours when tested under some load), very good condition - includes bag and misc wires Toshiba T2130CT/520 Model: PA1198E YX No CD Drive (FDD only), Small screen, grey thing - comes with Toshiba bag, power supply and misc wires Have a look on eBay and you'll see how much things like power supplies, keyboards, screens etc go for. You'll also find people selling some of these for £100+ - I'm not expecting that sort of money for any of them, in fact I'm probably hoping for less than the cost of a new power supply on most (you could buy, break and sell on eBay if you like, I can't be bothered). Test me with a price or a potential swap, I'll say yes or no - you won't offend me either way and if you catch me in a good mood you could get a cheeky bargain Roll up, roll up..... special price available if someone wants to take the lot. (Ideally I'd like people to collect these if possible, postage is likely to be expensive on some of them due to the weight of the laptop, case etc) - don't let this put you off though, something can always be arranged Machines will be provided without an operating system, 'evaluation copies' may be made available if required. If you can get on the net with them and run Office I'd be happy!! I'll give you a 3" diameter rubber band ball, a broken set-square, a floppy disc that I don't know what's on it, and £20 for shipping.

michael
del got serial port michael? Yes, the only 'unknown' with that one at the moment is the CPU speed - I seem to remember it being something like a 400mhz, it used to run Unreal Tournament really well though
