Ian C
My thoughts are with you. Both of you try to stay positive. 20% is one in five - that one is the one who says "I'm gonna live" instead of "oh no, I'm gonna die". -Ian

markssupra
Sorry to hear that Jamie. Always try to stay positive, my dad was diagnosed with cancer of the bowel 3 years ago, but the hospital is keeping it under control and he's just got another 3 months all clear until the next check up. Hope the same can apply to your dad too. Best of luck mate. Mark
tbourner
My gf works in Oncology, and we had an experience with a family member almost exactly a year ago - not nice at all. Actually I donated some money to Cancer Research today as well. Our fingers are crossed for you.
Guest Garfy
Sorry to here that mate. I lost my dad nearly 4 years ago now to heart disease, he was only 45, his dad died of bowel cancer at the age of 65, and my mums dad died of lung cancer, I think he was about 60, this makes me the oldest male in the family and I'm only 27. I hope he pulls through, not just for his sake, but also for yours, loosing my dad was the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with, and I don't think I am over it yet. Sorry probably a bit depresing for you, and not the sort of thing you want to here. Good luck mate.

i-macca
Bit different, but I'm in hospital at the moment having treatment for Leukaemia having been diagnosed the end of January. It's not easy, but tell your dad that there is hope and to try and stay positive. I have and it's helped me loads. Luckily for me it's been nothing but good news on the cancer front since being diagnosed and treatment, albeit being really crap to endure, is going really well. I've met quite a lot of people who've pulled through against the odds since I was diagnosed and just show you that there is hope there. I understand what you're going for and feel for your family. Stay positive and you can all get through this. Good luck!
