Does anyone know anything about S4's???

My friend is looking at buying one and was going to get it "CHIPPED" untill I gave him a slap and told him to do it properly and fit a boost controller.

Does anyone know anything about tuning them???

chipping an S4 can give stupid power figures.

not sure on the exact numbers but don't underestimate, they are a very quick car.

And most VAG cars benefit more from a "chip" or remap than just a boost controller IMHO

i.e. a remap of the Golf R32 I drive will give me 270bhp, up from circa 240bhp for £500!

I know a little about my S4

As I want to keep the Supra as my money pit, I'm not going to chipping it in the near future. It goes well enough for me in standard form anyway. Damn fine bit of engineering.

Besides I've looked many times and I've never found any turbo's in the engine bay - not much need for a boost contrtoller then :p

You don't fit boost controllers to the S4 - the boost control is done via the ECU like scoobies unlike the Supra and other cars.

A £500 chip will take it from 265bhp and 300lb/ft standard to about 320-330bhp and nigh on 400lb/ft - nippy :D
