SupraJames
Im guessing its ABS, seeing if it comes on when you brake hard. BUt could be wrong, have nothing like it in mine..!
mattanna
Slip control as the other button says slip control off, may stop wheels locking up on engine braking, or it's just like a standard tc
Greystoke
There is an ABS light on the right hand size of the steering wheel.
Ian C
It flashes when the traction control system is active, feebly attempting to control wheelspin (and usually cocking it up). So I dunno how it comes on when you brake -Ian
black cat
it comes on if your going down the gears like a mad man. it is just telling you that it is controling wheel slip... in the dry .....just turn it off. it also comes on as it is just about to brake away on acceleration if it goes too far it goes out and the snow green light comes on and only lets it rev to about 1500rmp........or thats what it feels like.. iam gona be strandard sooner or later on a junction with a truck barring down on me.... Stonkin
If its coming on when your brake, maybe your tires have seen better days and are struggling for grip?

Jake
Greystoke, Is your car a VVTi? The VVTi ECU is very fussy about speedo converters. If it isn't right the TC will kick in all the time for no apparent reason. It does it because the speed the ECU is seeing from the gearbox (to rear wheels of course) is different to the speed it's being told the front wheels are doing (via the ABS speed sensors) and so it thinks the car is wheel spinning.
