DrivingTheDream Posted May 9, 2006 Share Posted May 9, 2006 This is really doing my head in now. When I have my foot down from 0-whatever when I get to 80 leptons ish the car turns wierd! It feels like it stops pulling erratically. It sort of jumps forward like it wants to go but something drags it back. This happens up till 110ish and then runs smooth. It reoccours at around 130-40 leptons too. It also happens if I'm cruising at 80-90 and want to stomp on it it just doesnt pull, it jumps. From what I've read about Supra's they should take off at 80 leptons right? Any ideas? Its going to Envy tomorrow for a service and I'm worried its gonna be an expensive problem.... DrivingTheDream Posted May 9, 2006 Author Share Posted May 9, 2006 I do have a boost guage-Havent checked it out when this happens, to be honest I wouldnt know what I was looking for either.... The car has an aftermarket exhaust (Mongoose I think...) and I was told there was a cat removed but I'm not 100% sure. I'm getting Gaz to see what I have/havent got 2mo. letmeshowyou Posted May 9, 2006 Share Posted May 9, 2006 have a look what the boost gauge does when this happens - it could be your second turbo isnt coming on for example. it's also possible its fuel cut I suppose - do you get lights on at the same time? Clarkey Posted May 9, 2006 Share Posted May 9, 2006 Sounds to me like a misfire. I had a misfire fault. I would accelerate hard - and then the RPM would jump downwards .. and the car seemed to stutter. Colder set of plugs .. and problem gone. Though - could it possibily be coilpacks ?
