ManwithSupra
I am going fully BPU and want to know which one of these units will suite me best, i just want to squeeze that bit more out of a BPU setup and wanted to know the advantage of one over the other ? Tricky-Ricky
If you only want to go as far as BPU then the blue will be fine.
Clarkey
I didn't think an E-Manage was necessary for a J-Spec. If upgrading to 550's for BPU .. isn't a SAFC-2 & a WB02 AFR gauge sufficient ?
toyo rob
i'd like to know cause i'm thinking of upgrading from the standard. done the first bits for BPU, as seen in sig, and am thinking on the next step and starting with emanage sounds like it. Yes..but an eManage is much much better and not much more expensive...I'd far rather have that. And the EMB/EMU can be linked to the WB02 for logging purposes which is quite neat The Blue will do for BPU....hell it runs plenty of Singles with bigger injectors than that! the EMB and EMU have a theoretical maximum limit of 880cc injectors without lowering fuel pressure. But you don't really want to go past 800cc.
ManwithSupra
how much will this increase a bpu car to ?
Jake
"BPU" doesn't include larger injectors. You won't need an eManage for the stock injectors
Tricky-Ricky
how much will this increase a bpu car to ? The only improvement you will get from fitting an emanage to a BPU car is the built in fuel cut defence (clamping the map sensor voltage) you can if you have a wideband fitted, tweak the fuelling in RPM/load sites that are a little weak, you can also lean it out! but you have to know what your doing;) you can also tweak the timing in the off boost load sites, but again this shouldn't be fooling with if your not totally sure of what your doing! i repeat! you risk buggering your engine:(
jason m
I am bpu, once I get my wideband and new o2 sensor fitted I will be going up to see Ian C to get my e manage massaged.
