Tricky-Ricky
Can anyone tell me which LEDs are suitable? http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/default.php?cPath=44&sort=2a&page=2&osCsid=e864ccbb54786d3132bd67df5f97fb89 are they 286T? or do you have to remove the old bulbs and try and fit just the bulb part? TrickTT
For the dash backlighting bulbs i used standard 3mm LEDs soldered directly to the circuit board. Try and get 50 degree leds or you will have uneven light spread on the dials.
Tricky-Ricky
Don't they need a resistor?

Steviekid
Just been looking more closely at the link in the your first post. Does anyone know if the leds here: http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=44&products_id=302&osCsid=e864ccbb54786d3132bd67df5f97fb89 would be a direct replacement for the backlighting bulbs for the buttons and save having to piss around with the glo wire as I found that really awkward. The whole LED dash conversion would be much easier if they are!

Steviekid
I gave up running the glo wire in the end. Cut various grooves in the plastic and got the unit back together with the wire in place but the buttons wouldn't go in!! Ended up taking the yellow rubber covers off the bulbs and painting them blue with glass paint but they're a bit dim.
DannoSupra
i wonder if you keep painting and painting them every 24 hours, they should have a deep enough blue glow? like the prism bulbs, cos thats all they are
