merckx
The previous owner cracked one of the skirts which I want to repair and paint. I'm confident I can get a good finish but I'm finding it difficult getting a good match. I've tried two paint supply places and also Halfords, it's red 3L2. When I had the front bumper painted the bloke thought the paint might have had a tinted lacquer. Any ideas where I can get a better match, there aren't so many places that sell cellulose. Any thoughts on using 2 pack, I know of the hazards involved?
whitesupratt
Any paint factors can help. I use Autopaint in Luton if I HAVE to! Must mostly A.R. Davies motor factors in Royston/Baldock! Also Eurocolour are good in Dunstable. If you give them the code of take a car part (wing mirror, or fuel cap) they'll match the colour, give u it in a tin from half Ltr upwards, or even put it into an aerosole can for you. It highly highly unlikely you have tinted lacquer I use 2pack 99% of the time. I don't do bodywork anymore, but still own half of my business, i'll enquire for you if you like - PM me if you want! I need to find a place like this close to me - North East. I'm thinking it might not be a good idea to mess with 2 pack , I haven't got any face masks. Thanks
