Paul
Hi all, The last week or two, noticed that I have a squeak coming from what sounds like the rear wheels. I suspect that it may be those poxy pins on the brake calipers again, and I will sort this, but it has crossed my mind that it could also be a bearing. Please tell me I am way off, with the bearing, is there any history of them going (70,000miles). Cheers, Paul.
Phil Wall
You may need to be a little more specific, :o “Squeak” :o
Paul
Right, Phil (to my rescue yet again!) By 'squeak' I mean squeak, you know, mousy type noise It seems to go along with motion, not engine revs, ie dip the clutch and roll, it still squeaks the same, no slower no quicker. I can hear it clearer when I go past a wall or barrier or when a Nova boy goes shooting past, it sounds low down and towards the rear wheel area. Phil Wall
Possibly the pads are getting near the limit and the metal warning strip is making intermittent contact with one of the discs.
